Acte commemoratiu del 56è aniversari de l'assassinat de Francesc Layret, organitzat pel sindicat ja desaparegut, Solidaritat d'Obrers de Catalunya.
Francesc Layret i Foix fou un advocat i polític català. Membre fundador de l'Associació Escolar Republicana i l'Ateneu Enciclopèdic Popular. Va ser membre de la Unió Republicana, Solidaritat Catalana i va fundar també el Centre Nacionalista Republicà i la Unió Federal Nacionalista Republicana. L'any 1920, va ser assassinat per un grup de pistolers que formaven part de la patronal que li van disparar set trets letals.
