En el desembre de 1976, al teatre municipal La Faràndula, a Sabadell, es va celebrar un acte en suport del nou sindicat de Comissions Obreres amb una participació al voltant de 1500 persones. Durant la presentació van participar diferents persones del Secretariat Local i es van llegir diferents comunicats d'altres centrals sindicals que es van adherir a l'acte.
